The Excel 15 Plant Controller is used to monitor and control HVAC equipment and other miscellaneous loads in a distributed network. The Plant Controller communicates via the 78 kilo baud LonWorks network, using a free topology transceiver (FTT).

The Excel 15 Plant Controller is used to monitor and control HVAC equipment and other miscellaneous loads in a distributed network. The Plant Controller communicates via the 78 kilo baud LonWorks network, using a free topology transceiver (FTT). This Plant Controller provides configurable control loops for a wide variety of applications.
The Excel 15 Plant Controller uses a FTT to support a polarity-insensitive free topology wiring. T-tap, star, loop and mixed wiring are all supported by this architecture. The maximum number of control nodes per bus segment is 60. The maximum number of control nodes in a two-segment FTT subnet is 120, when using a repeater between the two segments. This Plant Controller can support three Excel 10 RIO devices. Operator access is provided over the LonWorks network via the Excel 15 command display or PC workstation.
