The Eltek’s galvanic separations RS232 are used between Eltek Fire & Safety exchanges. The galvanic isolation secures the equipment against overvoltage. It is supplied with 9 m cable from fire station to the galvanic partition.

The Eltek’s galvanic separations RS232 are used between Eltek Fire & Safety exchanges and other equipment such as a PC, pager or other equipment that communicates via RS232. The fire control panel has a symmetrical earth point, and when connecting external equipment via RS232 which has an asymmetrical earth point (earthed GND), a ground fault in the fire control panel is avoided. The galvanic isolation also secures the equipment against overvoltage in both ways. It is powered by 24 V DC, and mounted on 35mm DIN rail. It is supplied with 9 m cable from fire station to the galvanic partition.
