Hub (generic version) originates the daisy-chain connection of the sensors and distributes 12 VDC to the sensors. Hubs communicate with the sensor(s) over CANbus and relay information to the Controller via TCP/IP over Ethernet. Hubs detect various errors and alarm conditions for self-diagnosing capabilities. Each Hub can support up to 12 sensors. There are two versions of the Hub, including the Hub - PoE and Hub - Direct Power. The Hub - PoE receives power from a PoE ethernet switch and can support two sensor chains. The Hub - Direct Power receives 12 VDC from a DC power supply and can support one sensor chain.
