Variodyn One : Installation & Commissioning Basics
This self-guided eLearning is intended as a prerequisite for students who will eventually receive ILT instruction on the Variodyn One systems, or for learners who seek a deeper dive into the relationships between the Variodyn One hardware devices.
There is a standalone assesment after this module. (A score of 80% is required to pass).

- Installer
- Consultant and Designer of Voice Alarm and Public Address Systems
- All have completed Overview Module
- Tech Support / Product Specialist
Learning Objectives:
- Describe the capabilities/limits of the VARIODYN® ONE platform - ADDitional numbers/limits, etc.
- Describe the capabilities of VARIODYN® ONE hardware components
- Explain additional hardware capabilities provided by add-in cards – RELAY, SPEAKER Module (6),
- Select proper hardware components for provided example scenarios -
- Identify the common types of connections between VARIODYN® ONE components
- Based on provided scenarios - evaluate basic hookup wiring connections - 4-channel/8channel mode
- Describe the purpose of the Configuration Tool
- Describe the steps for installing and launching the Configuration Tool
- List and explain the different functions of the Configuration Tool
- Based on provided scenarios - select the proper site settings using Configuration Tool
- Describe the purpose of commissioning
- List the steps required to commission a system
- Based on provided scenarios - select the proper site settings
- Explain how to access and export diagnostic log files used in commissioning
- Describe the purpose of the Management Tool
- Describe the steps for installing and launching the Management Tool
- List and explain the different functions of the Management Tool Student Outcome:
Students will describe the process of how to Configure and Commission a basic VARIODYN® ONE system
