    Overview

    The E98-PLUS fire alarm control system is the latest generation of intelligent fire alarm systems from Esser. The system is based on proven technology

    platforms and system frameworks, strictly in accordance with the globally uniform quality standards of Esser. It is developed jointly by technical teams in Germany and China,

    providing improved and leading fire alarm solutions to customers paying attention on safety and quality. Th system is deal for large hotels, restaurants, malls, hospitals and other important venues.

    E98-PLUS fire alarm controllers feature intelligent properties such as drift compensation, smoothing, sensitivity adjustment and so on, capable to accurately detect early fires

    E98-PLUS fire alarm controllers are a two-bus fire alarm controller. Each controller can be connected with up to 30 loop control units, and

    each loop can be connected with 198 addressable devices. Also, the controller can also be connected with 64 floor displays (fire display panels).

    E98-PLUS fire alarm controllers are connected to other controllers in a peer-to-peer network over CAN bus. Each of such fire alarm controllers can be connected with up to 64 other controllers. Also,

    the fire alarm controller is engaged in fire linkage control, fire broadcast output, gas fire suppression, etc., and it can be connected to a CRT display terminal to form a comprehensive fire alarm control system.

    E98-PLUS controllers integrate both alarm and linkage control functions, meeting dual standard detection requirements in GB4717-2005 General Technical Conditions for Fire Alarm Control Units, and

    GB16806-2006 ̈General Technical Conditions for Fire Linkage Control Units.

    • 1.Large LCD display
    • A 320*240 pixel LCD is used as display unit, and it is a full-Chinese display, capable to show up to 320 Chinese characters. In detail, the display can show information about specific alarm device type, geographical location, alarm concentration, specific floor number, loop number, and code number, so that operators can get alarm information accurately, timely, and comprehensively.
    • 2.User-friendly HMI
    • All programming operations are visualized with menus, providing Chinese inputs, full-time prompts, and good human-machine dialogue functions. It is easy to switch between alarm information window and linkage information window.

    • The software is designed in a modular manner, using common subprograms to ensure reliable and stable program operations.

    • The controller features multi-level alert sensitivity and multi-level alarm sensitivity, and the sensitivity of each detector can be adjusted as needed. Fault-masking functions allow you to optionally mask any addressed unit in the loop bus. Automatic login of addressed units in the loop will greatly facilitate system commissioning and routine maintenance tasks.

    • The system can have up to 1000 logic zones that can be used to generate linkage control relationships, and each addressed unit can be involved in multiple logic programming operations. Control output objects may be either a specified single output module or all output modules within the zone.

    • New fire alarms, faults, and system events can be automatically recorded and stored in categories for easy reference. A total of 8000 historical events can be displayed and stored.

    • The controller has drift compensation algorithms that can compensate for the impact on the system due to sensitivity drifts caused by slow changes in external non-fire factors such as temperature, humidity, dust and so on, to maintain the fire detection capability and avoid false alarms Digital smoothing of the sampled data allows for effective elimination of interference and noise.

    • The controller periodically self-tests its detector and module, and sends a fault alarm when its component damage or dust buildup on the detector is about to reach or exceed the allowable limit. This improves the system reliability dramatically.

    • It is possible to set the controller in Instant Print mode to print the latest alarm events in real time.

    • Field devices can be started directly with the controller’s main CPU out of service, and broken-wire monitoring is supported.
    • 11.Offline programming and CRT graphic display terminals
    • By connecting the E98-PLUS-CRT interface of the controller to a debugging PC, the loop configuration and linkage control relationship of the controller can be programmed on the PC. Also, a CRT graphic display device can be connected through a network card for centralized management.

    • With CAN bus, the controller can be easily connected to the intelligent building system of a building, becoming a subsystem of the intelligent building.
