The complete door periphery is wired on the door module. The door module is a module bus user and communicates with the ACS-8 via an integrated RS-485 interface.
The ACS-8 contains the access control rights and makes the decisions. When equipped with IQ Multi-access (from V3), a door module can control either one or two doors, as desired.
To the door module, also Wiegand readers can be connected. This requires IQMA as of V.12.
