This hybrid course provides an overview of the Aspirating Smoke Detection system and explains the functioning of this system and its main applications. It provides complete details about the VESDA product range, the system design, and installation details. It contains practical exercises on using the ASPIRE software. Lastly, it lists the commissioning requirements and provides details on the testing and maintenance of the system.
Please note this training is delivered in hybrid format, combining OnDemand online training with a two-day classroom session. Completion of the OnDemand online training is required prior to attending the in-person classroom training.

Please note that certification is valid for 24 months upon successful course completion and that within 6 months of your certification expiry date printed on the certificate you will need to attend the Xtralis Recertification module to extend your certification for an additional 24 months, and student can only re-certify once .

This module is designed to educate the audience on the essential updates brought by Underwriters Laboratories' UL268 7th Edition, aimed at advancing the safety of building occupants and reducing false alarms.
Participants will gain an understanding of the rationale behind the changes, emphasizing the enhanced detection models specifically tailored for Open Areas and Special Applications.
The program also covers a comprehensive review of the new fire and nuisance tests introduced in UL268 7th Edition.
Furthermore, the training explores the impact of these changes on VESDA and VESDA-E. Learners will be educated on ASPIRE software usage to comply with UL268 7th Edition.
The deadline for the transition to UL268 7th Edition is June 30, 2024.
