The Importance of Indoor Air Quality
What is IAQ? Indoor Air Quality is commonly referred to as the quality of the air in a home, school, office, or other building environment. Recent U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) studies have shown that indoor air contamination negatively impact personal health and wellbeing. Improved indoor air can help your school achieve its health and safety goals by:
- Restoring the confidence of employees, tenants and customers that they can return to facilities with more comfortable and cleaner air
- Supporting resilience against future challenges by deploying trusted solutions
- Contributing to your building’s overall sustainability with targeted investments that generate results
Understand Your Campus Indoor Air Quality Capabilities
The Honeywell IAQ Assessment is designed to measure the effectiveness of a building’s indoor air quality adherence to the latest industry recommendations and best practices.
Safely neutralize and eliminate contaminants in the air stream.
Track the air quality across campus.
Communicate air health and restore confidence.
Assessing Your School's Indoor Air Quality
The assessment will be conducted remotely through your building management system (BMS) when possible. On-site assessments of the physical environment will be performed following current recommended safety guidelines. When completed, your Account Manager will review the IAQ assessment and provide a report, which includes recommendations to help meet industry requirements.
Now more than ever, there is a need to stay up to date with evolving healthy and safety guidelines. Check back as we continue to update this section with the latest information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other industry leaders.
