Why Implement A Mobile Access Solution?

What to consider when deploying a mobile access solution

Installation

In some cases, contactless access can be achieved through an upgrade instead of a full lock replacement. For a full and seamless guest experience, properties may wish to enable mobile access by upgrading door locks, public doors, and even parking systems and elevators. To save deployment costs and time, the Onity DirectKey™ system can be retrofitted into existing Onity locks.

Project Support

End-to-end commitment to service and support is critical to a successful deployment of mobile access solutions. When properties are highly satisfied with their upgrade projects, it is a result of strong project management, coordinated scheduling, delivery, installation and commissioning, plus ongoing, post-install support. Customer feedback confirms that using Onity’s remote site survey program to initiate the planning process makes the buying process quick and seamless.

Security Standards

Operators should look for a system that supplements the security features that already exist in hotel locks, such as access permissions and audit trails. In addition to the first level of encryption, Onity provides an additional security layer with a 128-bit AES encryption key that is unique to the door lock for which the credential was generated.

Guest Experience

Mobile access systems should make it quick and easy for guests to use their mobile key (via their cell phone) and provide a seamless journey – from parking, to elevators, to the guest’s room. Solutions that go beyond just access to offer connected rooms, can build a more personalized guest experience. Onity’s mobile-enabled locks use Bluetooth technology to stay in a ready state, so guests can unlock doors while on the move, without having to stop their stride or touch the phone to the lock.
