Welcome to My Honeywell Buildings University

We are delighted announce the launch of My Honeywell Buildings University!

    Training Schedule

We’ve recently been gathering feedback on how we can improve all aspects of our training experience from registration through the training options we offer. We received great input and, over the course of the next several months, you will start to notice changes which will greatly enhance your training experience.

The first of those improvements is transitioning to our online Learning Management System (LMS) dedicated to providing more visibility to the breadth of our training offerings. Through the LMS, you’ll have access to a curated library of content developed and delivered by knowledgeable industry experts that can be accessed on-demand. In addition, through the LMS, you’ll also be able to register for our instructor-led courses and access any earned training certificates as well.

    My Honeywell Buildings University

Training Certification and Verifier Tools Licensing.

NOTIFIER offers a comprehensive programming training program for technical personnel directly employed by an authorized distributor. Technicians who need upload/download capabilities though the Verifier Tools License must first complete factory certification by attending NOTIFIER University.

    Certification Maintenance Program

The Certification Maintenance Program simplifies factory recertification on Honeywell Fire Alarm systems.

Each technician that has a Software Tool License (VERIFire) is required to participate in the Certification Maintenance Program. The program provides 4 hours of on-demand learning and an online exam which must be successfully completed annually. Certification maintenance is included with a CLSS Professional Technician subscription.

    Xtralis Partner Training

Xtralis offers ESDs, channel partners, end users, and consultants product-specific and industry training. Instructor-led courses are scheduled in each of our operational theaters throughout the year. We also have developed online training to assist partners in selling our industry-leading VESDA-E & VESDA ASDs, and OSID-DE and OSID-R, our award-winning open-area smoke detectors.

    Training Schedule

Some of the key enhancements you will notice immediately are:

    • Self-registration for instructor-led courses
    • An expanded library of on-demand content which you can take anytime, anywhere, on any device
    • Improved access to training certifications
    • Access to an expanding library of Honeywell-backed training content

This functionality and these offerings are available immediately by registering for the LMS platform at: honeywelldiscovertraining.com

We are confident this Learning Management System will offer all of our partners an enhanced and more interactive training experience and look forward to sharing more details in the future as we continue to make updates and enhancements.

Training Certification and Verifier Tools Licensing

NOTIFIER offers a comprehensive programming training program for technical personnel directly employed by an authorized distributor. Technicians who need upload/download capabilities though the Verifier Tools License must first complete factory certification by attending NOTIFIER University.

Training is conducted and coordinated through the Honeywell Training Department.

    • Only training that is scheduled through the training department qualifies for valid training certificates, and only employees with valid training certificates in the name of the company they are currently employed at, meet the criteria for having been factory trained
    • Certificates of Factory Training (via MYHBU) are issued in the name of the individual AND the name of the distributor and are not normally transferable
    • Factory certification is maintained by annually completing assigned continuing education and successfully passing a related exam (see details in section #2 Certification Maintenance)

NOTIFIER University is the core Factory Training course for the NFS2-640/320, NFS2-3030, NCA- 2 and N-16.

Training includes programming, adding/deleting devices on an SLC, Walk Test, configuration, Zone programming and Basic logic equations; (And, Or, Not) VeriFire tools Upload/Download, Banner editor, Trouble codes, overview of a NOTIFIER Network, AMPS24 Intelligent power supply programming application PK-PPS,

NOTIFIER Advanced Application is recommended 6-12 months after NOTIFIER University. This course builds on the NOTIFIER University covering VeriFire Tools “Logic Equation Builder,” service for CBE (Control By Event programming). In addition, CCBE (Cooperative Control By Event programming) will also be covered in detail. Releasing and basic Smoke Control programming is introduced, and DVC functionality is covered at length.

NOTIFIER Graphical Workstation addresses Workstation and NOTI-FIRE-NET configurations, Cooperative Control-By-Event (CCBE) programming and associated peripherals including an overview of FirstVision, LED Sign Gateway, Floor plan Graphics and Workstation Administration.

Third Party/End User Training is the responsibility of the authorized NOTIFIER distributor. These third parties can attend NOTIFIER training sessions if approved and sponsored by that distributor. This policy requires that an employee of the sponsoring distributorship be present during all sessions of face-to-face training. The authorized distributor is responsible for all end-user support, including technical support to the end user they sponsor. Tuition fees apply to both end users and distributor personnel in attendance. After the completion of training, end users receive an Acknowledgement of Attendance, not a Certificate of Factory Training.
