Alutel Mobile
Alutel Mobile turns Android handheld devices into mobile access control readers for OnGuard, designed for mining, transportation and open areas where fixed readers are not practical. Staff validate QR codes, barcodes, RFID cards (SEOS, Mifare, iCLASS, Corporate 1000) and HID Mobile credentials, even offline. Operators get GPS tracking, panic alarms and messaging in OnGuard Alarm Monitoring.
Alutel Mobility is a software and hardware company specialized in mobile solutions for access control and security operations. Its Alutel Mobile platform brings identity validation to the field through rugged Android handheld devices, extending the reach of existing access control deployments to mining sites, transportation environments and open areas.
The Alutel Mobile interface allows OnGuard users to extend their access control system to locations where conventional readers cannot be installed, using Android handheld devices managed directly from OnGuard. Security personnel can verify a person’s credential in real time against the OnGuard cardholder database and see immediately whether access is granted, based on the cardholder’s data and assigned access levels.
The reader keeps working when the network connection is interrupted. It validates credentials with the information available up to the moment of the disconnection, stores every validation locally, and uploads the records to OnGuard automatically once the connection is restored. Field activity therefore becomes part of the same audit trail as every other access event, with no gaps.
The user can:
- Read QR codes, barcodes, RFID cards (SEOS, Mifare, iCLASS, Corporate 1000) and HID Mobile credentials with a single device.
- View cardholder data and the access levels used to grant or deny access, directly on the device screen.
- Keep validating credentials without connectivity and have the stored records synchronized with OnGuard on reconnection.
- Control access in mining operations, transportation and open areas without fixed readers or wiring.
- Keep a complete record of every mobile validation in OnGuard for auditing and reporting.
- Manage the handheld devices directly from OnGuard.
