The essentry–OnGuard integration connects essentry visitor workflows with LenelS2 OnGuard so visitor activity can be reflected in OnGuard quickly and consistently. It automates the flow of visitor identity and credential information into OnGuard and keeps records aligned over time through a combination of live updates and scheduled synchronization. This helps OnGuard users keep access control data current while streamlining day-to-day visitor operations.

The integration allows OnGuard administrators to accomplish the following tasks/benefits: reduce manual entry by automatically creating and updating visitor/cardholder records and associated credentials in OnGuard based on essentry activity; keep OnGuard aligned with real-time visitor state changes (for example, check-in/checkout-driven credential status changes); maintain ongoing accuracy with periodic reconciliation so changes aren’t missed; reflect OnGuard access level/access profile updates back into essentry to support consistent access assignment workflows across both systems.

The integration communicates with OnGuard using the OpenAccess API and requires a properly permissioned OnGuard account and environment configuration. It is designed to be deployed as a Windows service or run in a controlled “run once” mode for validation.
