Senstar NMS-OnGuard Gateway
Senstar’s Network Manager Service to OnGuard gateway allows communication to Senstar sensors. Sensors supported include OmniTrax, FlexZone, FiberPatrol, LM100, UltraWave, XField, FP400, and Lidar. The integration provides two-way communications – OnGuard not only can receive alarm and status information from Senstar sensors but can also control associated relay contacts and internal control points. Using the alarm information received, the full range of OnGuard system security responses can be initiated.
The integration creates a “Senstar NMS” panel type within OnGuard that supports 2048 zones and 512 offboard relays. The Senstar NMS panel does not support onboard relays, doors, or areas. Two alarm statuses (Alarm and Tamper) are supported for each panel zone for activation by sensor alarm points. A Trouble status will be reported if a sensor alarm point is compromised by a diagnostic fault within the associated sensor device.
The NMS-OnGuard Gateway implements a “software patch panel” that enables the assignment of any alarm source from Senstar sensors – zone alarms, diagnostic faults, and device communication faults – to the OnGuard intrusion panel. Within OnGuard, the following statuses can be generated for each Intrusion Panel zone:
- Alarm and Tamper (depending on status chosen during configuration)
- Comm Fail
- Comm Fault
- Diag Fail
- Diag Fault
- Trouble
The status descriptions presented within OnGuard can be customized by a string translation table implemented by the NMS-OnGuard Gateway. Intrusion Panel offboard relays can be assigned to Network Manager output points (relays, LM100 lighting controls, self-test).
