The Serial Essernet® Interface (SEI2) is used to connect the ESSER fire alarm control panels 800x and IQ8Control and FlexES control to external systems supporting the EDP (ESSER-data-protocol). Depending on the desired application, connection is made via TTY or RS232/485 interface. Systems with bi-directional data transmission have additional remote-control facilities. Via the essernet® module the SEI2 may be integrated as an independent unit into an essernet® network.
