V5004TF Series flanged pressure independent control valves combine a differential pressure regulating mechanism with a control valve to achieve optimized flow control across a wide spectrum of varying system pressures and flow rates.
The V5004TF pressure independent control valve normalizes the differential pressure across the control valve portion, enabling it to maintain a constant flow rate without changing the actuator position. This provides highly stable flow and system conditions, to help optimize equipment use, energy use, and performance.
It is suitable for use in variable flow systems together with an actuator, which comes factory mounted and pre-programmed. Typical uses are very large fan coil units, air handling units, and large heat exchanger control- and bypass service.
The regulating mechanism reduces actuator movements caused by system pressure fluctuations, which extends actuator life and energy spent positioning it. No complex calculation is needed for selection, simply pick a valve with a suitable maximum flow rate range to suit the application and its connection sizes used. No hydronic balancing is needed for commissioning.
Sizes available from DN50 to DN250, with PN16 pressure rating.
