    Mobile Credentials

The next-generation mobile credential access control experience that increases security, convenience and building health.

Mobile credentials enhance security as well as building and personal health by limiting contact with shared devices. By having a keyless entry system for businesses, employees are able to be easily identified through their mobile devices and don't have to worry about keeping track of their keys or key badges.

    Smart Access Technology

Mobile credentials make it possible to use your phone as a way to authenticate and gain access through a smartphone door access control system.

    Reduced Costs

Mobile credentialing costs are predictable and can eliminate the capital costs of plastic badges, printers, ink, storage and handling. Unlike most plastic cards, mobile credentials may be reused, transferred and remotely deactivated.

    Increased Security

A mobile credential access control system adds several layers of security above the normal plastic card. First, smartphones provide additional security with pin codes, fingerprint or face ID that unlock the phone in order for the mobile credential to be used. Second, when the mobile credential is transmitted to the reader, the basic card encryption (Prox, DESFire, iCLASS, etc.) is enhanced by another encryption layer used to secure the transmission of the card payload to the reader.

    Limited Device Contact

If you’re looking for an easy-to-use system that has the ability to limit people’s contact with access control and other security systems, a mobile credential access control system is your answer.

    Added Convenience

Mobile credentials don’t require an access card to be kept in a wallet or attached to a lanyard. Many of us routinely carry our smartphones throughout the day. Our smartphone door access control system gives system administrators the option to enable employees to enter pre-authorized doors.

Frequently Asked Questions about Mobile Credentials

    What are mobile access credentials?

Mobile access credentials have many names Virtual Badge or Virtual Wallet, Digital credential, Mobile credential, keyless access etc.  regardless of what you call it, it is removing the reliance on a plastic badge to gain entry/access into a building or areas within building and putting your credential or badge onto your mobile smart device or smart phone.

Can I use my smartphone as a keycard?

Yes, with the BlueDiamond™ mobile app you can use your smart device as an alternative to physical badges, providing a touchless access control experience. BlueDiamond users can simply keep their phone in their pocket or bag on walk up to the reader and stop to have the credential automatically sent.

What is a mobile access control system?

A mobile access control system incorporates innovative cloud-based credentialing software into the traditional access control experience. Touchless access controls include the use of smartphones, QR codes, and biometric scanners. It also improves security, giving your organization more control over who can access your buildings, which doors they can access, and at what time they can enter areas.

    What does keyless entry mean?

Keyless entry refers to the lack of needing a physical key or badge to access an area. Keyless entry is more convenient and provides a touchless access control experience. Users of the BlueDiamond mobile app can configure to send the mobile credentials to specific readers from a distance for parking garage access, or opening the door from a distance to allow for persons that require extra time to get through the door.

What are the different types of keyless entry?

Keyless entry involves anything that doesn’t make use of a physical key. With our BlueDiamond mobile solution users can create voice commands to have the credential sent to a specific reader just by speaking the command into their phone. We also offer features that require zero interaction by the user, our Pathways feature allows users to preload intent to unlock a door(s). This Geofenced technology allows the app to automatically launch upon arrival to the office/building and have their app start looking for the first door preloaded in their pathway. User keeps their phone in their pocket or bag and they approach the door. Once in range and the user stops to open door, the credential is automagically sent without any user interaction.

What are the benefits of using a smartphone door access control system?

Using mobile credentials can offer several benefits, including increased security, convenience, and flexibility. They can also be more cost effective than traditional physical credentials, as they can eliminate the need for printing and distributing physical cards or key fobs. Smartphones come with additional security features, since they are generally already locked by the user. As a result, a lost phone poses less of a security risk than a lost badge.
