The DS 6750 PSTN / IP transmission devices are used to transmit messages from hazard alarm systems via public and private PSTN communication networks and as an interface to remote system parts such as management systems that are connected via public or private networks. In addition, remote parameterization and remote maintenance are made possible via the device when used in compatible hazard alarm centers. The transmission devices can be installed as an integration module in the control panel housing; two housing variants are also available for stand-alone operation or remote installation. If the classic transmission paths (e.g. ISDN) are discontinued or migrated, there is often no adequate or future solution available for the secure alarm communication of the hazard alarm system. The performance feature of the transmission devices is the extended BUS-2 connection for control centers for alarming via IP networks, the solution.
Hazard alarm systems adapted via BUS-2 can use transmission devices to set up demand-controlled or permanent IP connections to control centers in accordance with VdS. Connection to security companies takes place via several permanent and demand-controlled connections. Connections to different control centers can be established or maintained at the same time. In addition, when messages are transmitted, demand-driven connections can be established without the existing connections having to be terminated. Both the PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network, analogue telephone network) and the Ethernet are used as the transmission network. Use within telecommunications systems is also possible. The transmission devices can dial into the internet via the PSTN-PPP protocol or in conjunction with the RFW-3000 / RFW 4000 using the GSM service GPRS / UMTS and use this to establish demand-controlled IP connections to receiving centers. It is also possible to send e-mails in this way. Both devices have an AWAG function, i.e. the transmission of voice messages to any telephone connection. This functionality is completely included as a basic function in the transmission devices. The voice memory is available with already prepared standard texts for 9 transmission channels, voice recording using a headset enables the installer to record individual voice messages.
The voice messages can be conveniently saved and uploaded with WINFEM Advanced. The optional BMA connection board provides a fire alarm interface in accordance with DIN 14675, Appendix B, as well as VdS 2463 and enables the transmission of fire and fault messages from fire alarm systems. With the transmission devices it is possible to connect up to 2 image centers (BZ) via TCP / IP (Ethernet). Communication takes place using the VdS-compliant VdS 2465-S2 protocol via an established TCP / IP connection. The image center behaves towards the tranmission devices like a surveillance center in accordance with VdS 2471 and 2465-S2. The interconnection of the intruder alarm control panel and the image control center offers the functional integration of both systems and cross-system interactions. The functionalities of both systems complement each other and are not only available to the security company's management system for informative assessment of the situation during the preliminary alarm check and for even faster intervention, but can also be used for future video-based services, such as automatic guard tours or live monitoring of operating and switching processes.
