The UIM (universal interface module) serves as the interface module of the VARIODYN ONE PAVA system for connecting two analog audio inputs, two analog audio outputs, as well as 48 control contacts. In order to transmit all played messages to an external device, for instance, two outputs are available as analog audio sources. The 48 contacts can serve as contact inputs or as contact inputs. For eight control contacts, short-circuit and interruption monitoring can be activated. This allows for an external control of the VARIODYN ONE system, and information about the status of the system is made available.
