Het voordeel van de XNX schuilt in een gebruiksvriendelijk, onderhoudsarm, universeel platform dat samenwerkt met andere veiligheidsapparatuur in een digitaal bussysteem, waaronder de eigen Searchline Excel, Optima van Honeywell Analytics of andere gasdetectoren, PLC's volgens industrienormen en gasmetingscontrollers van derden..XNX ondersteunt elektrochemische, infrarood en katalytische detectie-gasdetectoren en gebruikt een standaard 4-20 mA bedrading en HART: opties zijn onder meer Modbus, Fieldbus met maximaal drie relais en een lokale Hart-adapter voor configuratie en diagnose met gebruikmaking van bestaande HART handheld apparaten.
Met meer dan 200 unieke configuraties voldoet XNX aan Klasse 1/Klasse 2-vereisten voor intrinsiek veilige, explosiebestendige apparatuur zoals deze wordt gebruikt in de olie-, chemische, afvalwater- en andere industrieën..
De behuizing is beschikbaar in roestvrij staal of aluminium met een coating in de marineklasse. Vijf schroefdraadpoorten die zijn beschikbaar in metrische of NPT-versies en de robuuste bevestigingsopties zorgen voor de hoogste installatieflexibiliteit. Instrumentatie die op verschillende detectietechnologieën is gebaseerd, kan lokaal met de transmitter worden verbonden of op afstand aan de betreffende toebehoren worden gekoppeld.
De XNX gebruikersinterface ondersteunt alarm- en foutmeldingen alsook configuratie via een groot 'dot matrix'-display en LED-lampjes. De door 7 te kiezen talen ondersteunde pictogrammen vergemakkelijken de bediening waar ook ter wereld.
