The Phoenix G2 Communications Gateway is the core of USDD’s Fire Station Alerting System. Located at the dispatch center, it is the direct link between the computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system and the Phoenix G2 ATX Station Controller located at each fire station.
The Gateway receives alert data from a dispatcher via an interface with an existing CAD host, or directly from USDD’s interactive Web-based Communications Gateway Dashboard
The Communication Gateway’s design is efficient in every way. It provides simple network requirements and software updates to the “trainable” self-service pronunciation editor integrated into our G2 VoiceAlert software.
Using dynamic, flexible pathway options, the Gateway has two redundant servers for disaster recovery and backup.
