Optimizer Suite

Objectives

This training aims to make you proficient in programming products from the Optimizer Suite range using its software suite, with a focus on the Optimizer Advanced controller line and Optimizer Unitary controllers.

Prerequisites

• Basic IT knowledge desired

• Knowledge of standard communication protocols (Modbus and BACnet)

• Knowledge of programming principles (combinatorial logic, etc.)

• Experience using programming and/or supervision software is highly recommended

• Niagara 4 certification from another manufacturer OR a certificate of attendance for the Honeywell BMS "Niagara Fundamentals" training course is mandatory

• Access to a laptop with administrator privileges

• Access to a licensed and operational Optimizer Supervisor Workbench

Training Content

• Controller I/O declaration: Learn to define controller inputs and outputs for optimal configuration.

• Function block programming: Master program creation using function blocks for structured, efficient programming.

• HMI configuration: Discover how to configure the Human-Machine Interface for intuitive system interaction.

• Optimizer Unitary controller configuration: Learn to configure Optimizer Unitary controllers for precise, reliable control.

• BACnet point exposure: Familiarize yourself with exposing points via BACnet to enable equipment integration and communication.

• Programming palette overview: Explore the various programming palettes available for optimal use of the software suite, such as clHVAC, the Care Import Wizard, and PrintOut.
