MAX4 Reader Access Controls are designed for single doors, which can also be used for setting and unsetting of your alarm control panel. The MAX4 can be configured in one of two ways- On-line and Standalone. In standalone mode MAX4 can be used for door control without connection to a Galaxy system. When in standalone mode the MAX4 is programmed and operated using the MAX4 proximity cards or tags. The proximity cards and tags each have unique ID numbers and must be identified to the MAX4 before being used to operate the system. The MAX4 memory can store up to 1000 ID numbers, including at least three reserved for Masters. Once programmed, the ID number of the tags and cards are stored indefinitely in the MAX4 memory until voided (removed). Removing power from the MAX4 does not erase the programming memory.MAX4 can operate in on-line mode, with compatible Galaxy control panels, as a completely integrated module on the system. In this configuration the MAX4 can be used for both door control and alarm system set/unset control with complete user traceability stored within the Galaxy control panel.
