Moxy Belgrade Optimises Guest Experience and Safety with Honeywell Building Automation

Moxy has raised the bar for smart hospitality by partnering with Honeywell and ProCodex. Together, they’ve designed an integrated, brand-compliant building and life safety infrastructure that enhances performance, safety, and the guest experience.

To provide the immersive “Moxy guest experience” while adhering to Marriott’s strict technical standards, a comprehensive hospitality system was chosen to deliver fire safety, security, building management, and guest comfort under one trusted brand. The challenge was both technical and logistical, with a strong focus on operations and strict timelines.

A complete building automation system
ProCodex led the integration and recommended Honeywell for its comprehensive, scalable systems. A wide suite of Honeywell technologies was integrated, including:

• Esser by Honeywell fire alarm system – a highly configurable and reliable fire detection platform, adapted with colour-matched detectors to blend with the hotel’s interior design.
• Notifier by Honeywell CO gas detection – providing early, precise detection of carbon monoxide to ensure guest and staff safety.
• Honeywell VARIODYN® D1 voice alarm system – delivering clear, intelligible public address and evacuation messages across the facility.
• Honeywell S30 CCTV – enabling high-definition surveillance with smart analytics for real-time security monitoring.
• Honeywell WIN-PAK® Integrated Security Software – a cost-effective way to manage Access Control, Video Surveillance, and Intrusion Detection through a single interface.
• Galaxy intrusion detection – a robust intrusion alarm system designed for high-traffic environments.
• Onity electronic locks and minibars – mobile key-enabled access and energy-efficient amenities in every guestroom.
• Honeywell Centraline Building Management System (BMS) – centralising control of HVAC, lighting, and energy use to increase operational efficiency.

The architecture was optimised from the initial budget design to enhance flexibility, reduce complexity, and lower system costs, without compromising Marriott’s technical expectations. ProCodex integrated all the equipment through IT solutions in accordance with Marriott standards.

Smooth installation, smart results
The installation was completed in under six months, following Marriott’s rigorous approvals process and the need for precise system testing. ProCodex and Honeywell rose to the challenge, navigating tight deadlines and detailed commissioning standards. Every detail – from system layout to software integration – was tailored to fit Moxy’s unique architecture.

The integration of life safety, security, access control and energy management systems give hotel staff and ProCodex support teams a real-time, centralised view of the building’s operations where any potential issues can be quickly diagnosed and addressed.
