The Honeywell GP2 glass break detector testers are specially developed for testing active glass break detectors. It is necessary to generate special test signals for each type of glass break detector. The GP2 glass break detector tester is therefore equipped with selector switches for testing the respective detector type.
The test signal is coupled into the pane via the aluminum plate on the front of the test device. The glass break detector receives the signal and evaluates it. The type of signal is matched to the alarm criteria of the respective glass break detector and thus leads to triggering.
