The Ten Input Monitor module provides an interface between a control panel and normally open contact devices such as pull stations, security contacts, or flow switches. The supervised state (normal, open or short) of the monitored device is sent back to the panel. The multi-module provides short circuit isolators to prevent shorts on the fire detection and alarm system loop from disabling more than one device on the intelligent loop. Jumpers have been replaced by dip switches to disable addresses and set Class A or Class B operation. Monitor multi-modules can disable up to six addresses in Class B operation, three addresses in Class A operation when operating in CLIP protocol. Advanced Protocol models only use 1 address per multi-module.
